Most likely will be an event for the 3rd year pets. Will probably include some kind of bonus to drunkard.

My personal belief is that A.Net has been /too/ silent, and therefore something must be up (good or bad). |

But seriously, I suppose it involves killing raptors/vaettirs over and over. |

i dont actually care, sure its nice but ill be playin the same amount of the game.
I like how the events turned into a weekly thing even if people are waiting and seeing how to take advantage of the situation. EDIT: seems like im giving wrong impression, we cool here, events are FTW Last edited by BenjZee; Apr 23, 2008 at 08:50 PM // 20:50.. |

Why do people always say a weekend with nothing would be better than whatever (apparently) pathetic weekend is happening?
I just really don't see why. How does it affect you in any way if you just ignore it/don't care about it/don't play in a style that is affected by it? Why would you prefer nothing? What is the difference between nothing and you choosing not to participate in whatever there happens to be? And if the answer involves lag, why should that have anything to do with the normal "pathetic" events, surely it is more likely due to the fact that more people have more time to play at weekends when they don't have to go to work school. |

A year ago, weekend events were not "required" like they are now. It keeps event weekends special. |

I'm actually very surprised that nothing has been announced yet. Usually Anet are really on the ball with their announcements. That's not a "OMG I want want want NAO!", just friendly concern. |

Most likely Anet have something large in store for us and they've delayed the announcement because of it, surprises ftw!
Only downside to a weekend event is the huge amount of lag i will no doubt experience as more and more people flood Loser's Arch, Scamadan and Kaineng to sell, buy and trade. Or to just shout random racial taunts at people and call people n00bs for the sake of it. Having typed that i now realise that i've just described the average day in Guild Wars... |

One the Tuesday before a normal weekend event, they always announce at/before noon (Pacific).
For special "festival" weekends, they never post anything until Thursday. If there are town decorations, they get deployed with the Thursday build. (In the old days, The Scribe would sometimes leak a little hint or two. Since this was posted during the day, it could give foreshadowing of the upcoming event.) Since Monday the 28th is the third birthday of Guild Wars' release, and we still haven't received word, this weekend will be the birthday celebration. It will most likely run from Friday at noon (Pacific) to Monday night, 11:59 PM (Pacific). |
